How do you pronounce Bois d’Arc Trails? Bois d’Arc Trails is pronounced bo-dark trails. It is named after the bois d’arc tree (sometimes referred to as the horse apple tree), which is common in our part of the state and at our park. What are the fees? The price of admission to the park is $5 per person. There is no charge for children ages 3 and under. There is an additional charge for each off-road vehicle. Rough camping is permitted for an additional charge of $5 per person, per night. Why does Bois d’Arc Trails operate on a reservation system? Bois d’Arc Trails was created as an alternative to other places that operate competitive tracks or places that are over-run with people during peak riding times. We wanted to create a park where families and recreational riders can enjoy the county and their off road vehicles without dealing with large crowds. Our reservation systems allows us to control the number of people entering the park so that it never becomes over crowded. I have already registered to use the Bois d’Arc Trails reservation system. Can I bring a friend with me? Yes, but your friend will have to register with us. Every person that comes to our park must first register with us. If your guest is a child under the age of 18 and the child’s parent will not be accompanying you and the child, the parent will need to register. How far in advance do I need to make a reservation? It is not difficult to get a reservation, even if you make your reservation at the last minute. However, we recommend that you request your reservation at least 24 hours in advance to give us time to get back to you with your confirmation. If you need to make a reservation on short notice, we recommend that you give us a call. You can reach Howard at (214) 676-5602. Is the reservation system difficult to use? Not at all. You simply click on the “Reservations” link and complete the form. Please note that you must first register with Bois d’Arc Trails in order to use the reservation form.
